Most of these young people have grown up in challenging environments and, as a result of physical or psychological abuse, have been placed in this care center to recover and develop a professional plan through personalized guidance.

The MAD Foundation supports Home Philippe Speth by financing leisure activities outside the home for each of the 29 young adults in their care. Each young person has an annual budget of €150 to €200 and must justify their expenses based on the activity they choose, thereby enhancing their sense of responsibility and autonomy.

This academic accompaniment is provided by a student tutor and is aimed at developing the pupils’ potential and stimulating their ambitions for the future.

The MAD foundation has supported Schola ULB in the following two areas: offering support to young people during the school holidays and setting up a tutoring programme in alternative locations in collaboration with local community centres.

Parents remain in contact with their children through daily visits and participation in the children’s daily lives.

The MAD Foundation supports the Accueil Multifamilial de Jour programme, which aims to assess and improve families’ educational and parenting skills, as well as their children’s well-being. They are housed in apartments equipped with a video recording system, which is a precious tool for fine-tuning the quality of interactions.

]]> Brave Heart https://fondationmad.org/en/projet/brave-heart/ Tue, 17 Oct 2023 15:36:20 +0000 https://fondationmad.org/?post_type=projet&p=443 Since 2003, Brave Heart has been operating in Lebanon to enable underprivileged children suffering from congenital heart disease to receive the necessary medical care for their survival. Brave Heart aims to help these children regardless of their ethnic background, nationality, gender, race, or religion. It seeks to ensure that they have access to the best medical centers and to raise awareness about the management of congenital heart disease in Lebanon.

The MAD Foundation has supported Brave Heart in the financing of surgical operations and medical interventions for these sick children.

Composed of an incubator for start-ups and innovators, a pilot farm in regenerative agriculture, and coaching programs, HECTAR also offers coworking spaces, seminars and awareness sessions for young people and companies. HECTAR aims to enhance the value given to our soils and to help farmers by supporting projects that are economically viable, ethical, and sustainable for the planet.

More specifically, the MAD Foundation supports the Maison Pédagogique, which aims to raise awareness among young people aged 6 to 17 about the respect for biodiversity and our food’s impact on our health and planet. For example, it established in october 2023 a new biodiversity parcours for children and young adults.
