La Fondation pour l’Ecriture Projet

La Fondation pour l’Ecriture

La Fondation pour l’Écriture brings together various sponsors – companies and individuals – seeking to encourage writing practices. Created in France, where nearly 12% of young adults between the ages of 16 and 25 have reading difficulties, the Foundation particularly supports the work of Labo des histoires, which is dedicated to helping the writing practices of children, adolescents and young adults under the age of 25. Since 2011, they  have offered free writing workshops in order to develop their taste for writing and reading, imagination, and creativity.

The MAD Foundation supports Labo des histoires to extend its offering throughout France, to coordinate its branches, promote educational tools, and implement four major writing programs each year.

Through Labo des histoires, it supports the Jaime à dire programme, a project also run by the Fondation Engagement Médias pour les Jeunes and Graine d’Orateur to promote eloquence among young people aged from 14 to 30 in France. The operation resulted in a programme produced and shown by France Télévisions in December 2023, and will be repeated every year at the same time.
